About the event
This program will equip foster parents with essential skills to support and protect youth in our ever-changing digital world. By addressing online risks such as grooming, cyberbullying, and exploitation, the program helps caregivers develop crucial digital literacy skills, set healthy boundaries, and build strategies for supportive & healthy communications about online supervision. Internet Safety for Parents emphasizes open communication and trust-building, encouraging foster parents to engage in conversations about online safety and co-create Family Media Plans. With up-to-date insights on popular platforms like Roblox, Snapchat, TikTok, and many more, this program empowers foster parents to provide structure, guidance, and emotional support tailored to the unique needs of the children in their care.
